Write to the table

Corrections, race records and suggestions for the wall: how to reach the keeper of The Long Lap.

The table is the part of a fixed-time race that never sleeps, and it is the right name for this page. If a frame on the wall carries a wrong figure, a misspelled name or a date that the record contradicts, write to the table and it will be corrected on the cartel, marked and dated, never silently changed.

What to send

  • Corrections: a lap count, a finishing distance, a year, a name. Point to the frame and to the record that disagrees with it.
  • Records: a results sheet, an old race page, a programme or a photograph that belongs in the public memory of the format.
  • Suggestions: a fixed-time race, a loop course or an aid-station tradition the wall has not covered yet.

Write to [email protected]. The keeper reads everything; corrections to the record are answered first.

What the table is not

The Long Lap organises no race, takes no entries and sells nothing. Questions about entering, volunteering for or sponsoring a specific event belong with that event's own organisers, not with this notebook.
